I beg to disagree
“Good mobile project is not about features or tech or particular content, but about the process”—
Loic Tallon, Pocket Proof at CTM11
I did not attend this conference so I cannot vouch that I am not taking this quote out of context, but nevertheless I have both read and heard similar comments before (all too often) so am taking the opportunity to have a little rant - to add to the effect, imagine me pacing up and down and waving my arms around a lot.
… “Good mobile project is not about features or tech” - Yes it is, poor or inappropriate technology choices will result in (at best) a lackluster mobile experience.
… “Good mobile project is not about …particular content” - Yes it is, unless content is engaging and adds “value” to the experience there really is is no point providing it.
… “Good mobile project is …about the process” - Yes it is, but without technology that works and content people actually want, having a robust process counts for nothing.
A good mobile project is all about the “features and tech”, the “content”, and the “process” - I know that this is pretty obvious, but it doesn’t make it any less true!
